Australia's first game

Today marked the first day of competition and Bosom Buddy and I knew that it was going ot be awesome. First up in the morning we met the Welsh team, not just the dragon, and they were amused by Bosom Buddy and I doing the Skyjump in the Crowne elevator. Yes, there is a glass elevator and we press ourselves up against the glass, arms in the air and yell WOOHOO! It's as close as we will get to throwing ourselves off a building, sorry Em.

While waiting for the bus to pick us up we were gobsmacked to see the coaches carrying the entire Aussie Netball team stop right in front of us. Mo'onia even smiled for the photo.

The day was full of Netball Loonies from all over the world and it was really good to be sitting with Vicki Wilson to chat about the game and the players. Her insights added to our day. If you watched the ABC telecast you would have heard the chat at half time about the Name the Netties competition, yes I am working hard on that. Last night I had a chat tot Tracy Parish, media guru to the Aussie team, and she is now on the job of asking the team what they think of the names. I am particularly interested to hear what Sharelle ma'belle has to say as she is my she-ro. So we are pumped and ready for Day Two, keep you posted.

Kath, what do you mean you didn't jump off the Sky Tower. I'm very disappointed but glad you're having a ball anyway!!
